Level Assessment and Class Length
Before joining a class, each student completes a short English assessment covering vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, and speaking. The assessment is not a pass-or-fail test, and students do not need to feel nervous about it. Its purpose is to help the teacher understand what the student already knows, identify areas that need improvement, and select the most suitable English level.
The assessment may include multiple-choice questions, short reading exercises, listening activities, and a brief online conversation with the teacher. During the conversation, the teacher considers how well the student understands questions, uses vocabulary, forms sentences, communicates ideas, and responds in English. The student’s overall ability is considered because a written score alone may not fully represent speaking and listening skills.
After reviewing the assessment, the teacher places the student in a group with classmates who have a similar English level. This ensures that lessons are neither too easy nor too difficult. Students can learn at an appropriate pace, participate confidently, and make progress together. The teacher will continue to observe each student after classes begin and may recommend a different group if another level would better support the student’s learning.
Each live online class lasts approximately 50 to 60 minutes. This provides enough time for the teacher to introduce and explain the lesson, present new vocabulary or grammar, and give students opportunities to use what they have learned. Students may participate in conversations, pronunciation exercises, role-plays, reading and listening activities, vocabulary games, group discussions, and question-and-answer sessions.
Because the classes take place in small groups, every student has opportunities to speak, ask questions, participate in activities, and receive individual feedback. The lesson is carefully organized to include explanation, practice, interaction, and correction, helping students develop confidence and improve their English in an engaging and supportive online environment.
